GP and medical care
The Health Center for Youth and Students provides services within sexual and mental health and lifestyle problems. The service does not cover a regular general practitioner (GP), so if you need to see a medical doctor, there are different alternatives:
- You can apply for a GP if you have received a Norwegian birth and social security number. That is if you will stay in Norway for more than 9 months.
- Exchange students are not entitled to a GP, so you must contact a private medical center in Oslo if you fall ill (such as Dr. Dropin, Volvat, Aleris).
