Repair or Buy a Used Bike
SiÅs collaborates with Ås Kommune and the cyclists' association: Syklistforeningen Ås to make cycling on campus easier and more environmentally friendly. We clean up abandoned bikes, facilitate recycling, and arrange bike evenings.

This is what we do on campus:
- Cleanup of abandoned bicycles: Every spring, all bicycles are marked with red and white barrier tape. This year's marking starts on April 4th. If you want to keep your bicycle, you must remove the tape by May 5th. Unmarked bicycles are removed and, after a short time, are passed on, often as repaired second-hand bicycles to new owners.
- Mecca evenings on campus: On selected Tuesdays in May and August, a free bicycle repair shop is arranged at Skogveien 22A. Here you can get help with small repairs such as flat tires, chain lubrication, and brake tightening. For larger repairs, you will receive guidance on further follow-up.
- Used Bike Sale: Need a Budget-Friendly Bike? We hold an annual sale of repaired, used bikes in collaboration with volunteers from Ås Arbeidskirke every spring, while supplies last. We also have a yearly bike sale on campus for NMBU students in August each year.
