Every year, large amounts of furniture, kitchenware, and other usable items are thrown into SiÅs’ dumpsters. When autumn arrives and new students move in, there's often a demand for these same items. That’s why we’re now collecting furniture and similar items, cleaning and storing them until August.

“Brukbart” – a Free Second-Hand Station for Students!

On July 20, “Brukbart” opens — a free second-hand station for students! “Brukbart” is located right next to the post office, and here students can pick up what they need for their student housing, completely free.

We’ve placed tents at Pentagon and Skogveien, where students can drop off belongings they no longer want or can keep. During June and July, we collect, clean, and prepare the items and store them until the autumn. For those who don't live near the tents, we also offer pickup for larger furniture items. Get in touch to arrange a pickup!

We gladly accept:

  • Furniture: desks, tables, sofas, clean mattresses, etc.
  • Kitchenware: frying pans, pots, kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, etc.
  • Books (not curriculum/academic books)
  • Decor: pictures, photo frames, small plants (real or fake), etc.
  • Working electronics: toasters, sandwich makers, speakers, TVs, etc.
  • Warm clothing: wool sweaters, down jackets, etc.

We do not accept:

  • Broken or dirty items
  • Food (If unopened, please donate it to Foodsharing in Pamona!)
  • SiÅs-owned furniture
  • Curriculum/academic books
  • Casual everyday clothing like t-shirts, pants, shoes, etc.
