When - and how can I apply for a student residence ?
As a new student at The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) you may apply for a single room in the student residences in Pentagon.
To apply for a single room:
- If you want to apply for a single room, please send an e-mail to: utleie@sias.no as soon as you have received your letter of admission. Remember to write your full name, birth date and studyprogram.
- Shortly you will receive information about how to send an electronic application. Please follow the instructions carefully. When the application is sent, you will receive a receipt on e-mail.
- You will receive an e-mail informing you when the contract is assigned. You have 1 week to read, sign and return the contract on e-mail: utleie@sias.no . If the contract is not returned after 1 week it will be cancelled and you must apply again. You may enclose the contract with you VISA application.
- Moving in: You may move in from the date the contract starts. Please make an appointment to collect the key on: utleie@sias.no.
Houserent - Payment:
You will receive houserent from the date the contract starts regardless of later arrival. Tenancy contract will be terminated if rent is not paid in time.
You can pay the house rent with credit card on you web site in boligtorget.
Basic Equipment Package:
The student residences are not equiped with beddings, towels and kitchen utensils. If you do not bring your own equipment, you can buy the Basic Equipment package from SiÅs at your arrival, price NOK 1600,-. Please order the bag on the tenancy contract.
