Psychologist

Psychologist Morten Nystrøm
Almost half of the population experience psychological problems in one form or another during a lifetime. Students are no exception. They experience a lot of stress and pressure from the University, from their families, friends and other students. - Not to mention the pressure that students put on themselves.
Every person has a limit for how much he or she can take.
Because of this, SiÅs offers students the opportunity to discuss their problems with a psychologist. To go to a psychologist doesn’t mean that you’re ill. The service gives you the chance to have a professional looking at your situation together with you. Early intervention can prevent psychological problems later in life. The goal is to give students the chance to discuss their problems in safe circumstances. You can receive 2-3 hours of supervison. If you are in need of acute psychiatric help, or know of someone who does, (for example in danger of suicide or psychosis) the best that you can do, is to contact an emergency first-aid doctor (legevakten) or the police. Call 113 .
If you need advice, please contact the social consultant.
